On Wednesday morning we were very pleased to welcome Sue, a volunteer for Guide Dogs which is one of the UK’s leading sight loss charities, Alison and her Guide Dog, Annie and Di and her Guide Dog Puppy in Training, Winnie to school.
We all learnt lot about the training and working life of Guide Dogs during their visit. For example, Annie knows 30 different routes so she can assist Alison to get where she needs to go. What a clever girl!
Our students asked lots of questions and got to stroke Annie and Winnie, which they both enjoyed immensely!
Our thanks go to Sue, Alison, Di, and of course Annie and Winnie, for giving up their time to come in and visit us. We all had a super time!
